Entertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.

I won't say nothing new in this review, everything you need to know is written in other top reviews. I am writing this just to say that this movie is seriously good. It should be ~7.5 in overall imdb rating, it's that good as a dramedy, top notch quality in filmography, beautifully shot. Very good acting, especially Addison Timlin was simply outstanding, she created one of the most compelling characters I ever seen in cinema. This movie is not comedy, it's about 80% of drama, however the drama is not heavy/dark, it's sad but compelling and uplifting, plus some quirky(in a good way) comedy lightens the mood successfully. Watch it, you'll not regret this.

This is not a comedy, so if that is what you are looking for, watch something else. If are looking for a heart warming movie, with substance, this just might be one you will enjoy. I am tired of all the special effects, in place of dialogues. This movie is a wake up to life, and its true meaning. I really enjoyed it, as you can see with the rating I gave. I can't promise you won't shed a tear or two, but it will not let you down. One line that stuck with me (paraphrase) is, just because you have known someone for a long time, doesn't make them your best friend. Truer words were never spoken. I don't know why IMDb insists on 1000 words, or 10 lines, but everything from here on in is an echo of what I have already said.

This is not a comedy. Whoever billed it as such is an idiot. People will be disappointed and some of the reviews I've read were very negative as a result. This is in fact a very fresh and surprising drama about people and the secrets they keep and the sometimes strange ways in which they meet and find love. I was totally surprised at the ending and I felt a definite feel good rush. It was perhaps a bit contrived, but I didn't care. I was too busy just feeling good. A great piece of film making. The acting is superb throughout, especially the young female lead. And the last time I saw the male lead was in 'Live free or die hard' where he was a likable hacker. Well he is likable here too. All round high quality human drama. Loved it.
