To all those who have watched it: I hope you enjoyed it as much as I do.
The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
I was reading a book while my TV was on for no reason. I do that sometimes, just to have something at the background of my thoughts. At 3:00 p.m. there's usually nothing on that's decent enough for any person to forget about what they're doing and focus on the screen. Spanish viewers have to deal with that since the beginning of TV times. Then there was an annoying sound that startled me. It appears the producers came with a brilliant idea: Why don't we cover up the badness of this script with a nonstop-nonsense soundtrack? And they did it! It's so bad I wanted to be blind for 2 hours. And that's all I can write, honestly.
This is a refreshing movie with a great pick for the key roles! Nicolette did an amazing job!!! It is the first time I have seen her, but she was such a likable personality! She was sweet and beautiful; a stylish kind of woman, but also had a little bit of a "New York" edge on her as she was meeting the man from Ireland (Lol I'm from the N.E.), which also did an amazing job! He was so entirely likable and she conveyed so many different emotions, it pulled you into what she was feeling when she was betrayed by her fiancé and how she was drawn into this fun loving, romantic relationship with this outdoors Irishman. Although they came from different backgrounds, they were perfect for each other, and meshed so well together. They were very sweet, full of life and romantic together. I felt like they came from two different backgrounds, but were perfect together. It's funny and very engaging, I truly enjoyed it! I would really like to see more movies like this, and a follow up sequel, especially with these two main actors! would like a follow up sequel to this one!
The movie was heartwarming and entertaining, as far as I could tell, if I could hear what the characters were saying over the loud music. The scenery was breathtaking. The connection between an American woman and an Irish man was intriguing. The reason I gave this movie a one was because the music in the background was so loud that I could not hear what the characters were saying and there should not be music while one is speaking. If one can't enjoy the movie, then one might as well not watch it. The music ruined everything for me.It would be nice for Hallmark to take note of the older movies when you could hear every word and not have to strain your ears, and I have excellent hearing. The music is very distracting. You don't need music when one is speaking.
I was disappointed with this movie. The storyline was a typical love story formula, but I expected that so that was okay. What I did not care for was Nicollette Sheridan's acting ability, or lack of ability. She had no depth and displayed but two moods, mad and happy. She was unable to portray deeper feelings which led me to not empathizing with her character. Considering Greg Wise can endear himself with a raise of an eyebrow, I sat there wondering "why did they match up these two actors?" At the same time, I held out hope that it could be salvaged with a spark igniting between them. But, here was the real disappointment: the two actors lacked chemistry between each other...and in a love story, the right chemistry is crucial in making the formula work.
