"The Night Watchmen" turned out to be a rather nice surprise of a movie. And that was a good thing, because I hadn't even heard about it prior to picking it up and giving it a watch. The movie starts out fairly slow, but quickly becomes very fun and entertaining. If you sort of think a vampire version of "Shaun of the Dead", then you know what you will be in for here.Lots of hilarious scenes throughout the course of the movie. And the characters in the movie were great and colorful, and nicely brought to life on the screen. They had a good ensemble of actors and actresses to perform in the movie, which really did add to the overall enjoyment of the movie."The Night Watchmen" had good special effects and make-up.All in all, a very entertaining movie all the way through.Vampire clowns? Sure why not...

Comedy and horror blend together really well and here is yet another example of this.Telling the story of a group of office workers & security guards who are the last survivors of a vampire outbreak in their building.Starring James Remar & Tiffany Shepis truth is they are little more than cameo appearances and likely added to give the movie a bit of star power. With fantastic one liners, high production values and a competent cast this really caught me by surprise and is a really good effort. The film has some really great writing, memorable vampire clowns and roaring potential for an entire franchise, I walked away from this very pleased. It's not flawless but is a damn fine effort regardless, we need more of this and less of The Conjuring/Insidious nonsense. The Good:Tiffany ShepisJames RemarLooks greatThe Bad:Lacks closureOne sfx looks pretty badThings I Learnt From This Movie:1980's montage scenes are still awesomeA sure fire way to identify a vampire is by their inability to danceNecrophilia is when one person makes sweet love to someone else. The someone else is just dead thoughGiving a vampire the munchies doesn't sound like a good idea to me

Is this a bad movie? Nope.It has good acting, nicely done monsters (makeup) with a lot of gore and action, mixed with comedy of course. The thing is, it could've failed if the characters weren't able to work together, but they do. They compliment each other quite well and have their own quirks which keep them fun till the end. Also, I liked how the characters, most of the time, were just interested in staying alive and running away than run into battle. Of course the movie later on makes them run into the danger else it wouldn't be fun if they just hid and waited for help. The problem is, the "big bad" just doesn't really do much other than start a zombie vampire plague, then just disappears only to reappear half-way through, get attacked and just vanish all over again. So the big bad villain is still out there, was that done for the sequel? Not sure that was a good idea because I didn't really feel satisfied with the ending. They seem to be more interested in setting up a sequel.Overall, this movie is a fun popcorn flick that you can enjoy. Could've been more though, a bit disappointing.

Stuck working on the night shift, a group of inept morgue workers finds themselves overrun by a group of vampire clowns shipped to the location from an overseas accident and begun feeding on the staff, forcing them to band together to save the city from the vampire threat. This was quite the entertaining vampire-based horror/comedy. One of the more engaging pieces is the fact that this one really plays nicely with the rather silly concept in providing some great comedy throughout here. The fact that the main group here is such a fantastically lazy group that's far more concerned with watching porn on the job than enforcing the rules or just looking for the easy way out of the job makes them a likable bunch and that gives this a nice comedic bent as their failure to accurately perform the job gives this the kind of great base to string the later jokes and gags off of. The idea of every vampire unleashing their bowels at once upon their death is a fantastic gag, and the hilarity of their attempts to determine what will work on the creatures once they've got one trapped and put him down show the type of humor present here playing off the kind of concept this one really runs with. Even the final manner of how they defeat the creatures comes from the concept of the joke and is where this one really scores a lot of its laughs. Once it gets away from the comedy, there's a lot to really like here as this one features some great action scenes that feature the group dealing with the staff members that have been turned, from the opening ambush of the personnel as they get attacked throughout the offices while the whole affair is shown on the security cameras, the frantic battles in the loading dock and up in the break room with the creatures and the utterly frenetic confrontations with the original killer clown vampires which really enhances the action as the multitude of clowns continually coming out of the darkness which is quite a nice visual and altogether manages to enhance the action. Coupled with the great makeup effects on the vampire creatures and plenty of graphic bloodletting in the brutal kills, these here manage to overcome the minor flaws with this one.Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language, Nudity and drug use.
