Wow! Such a good movie.
Simply Perfect
This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.
It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties.
If you're a man it probably isn't your type of film. But, if you're a female you will love it.
This story line was sooo predictable and so poorly written I could barely watch. I love movies about prince's and princesses but wow - this was almost unwatchable. There was not one surprising plot twist or interesting character in the thing. Not even the (spoiler alert - kinda) crippled sister could spice it up enough. What a bore. I gave it 5 just cuz the prince is handsome and the palace is pretty to look at but that's about it. How disappointing. I expect this poorly acted, predictable, cheesy crap from Hallmark or Lifetime but to be honest I had a higher expectation of a Netflix Original.
A Prince For Christmas is a made for TV film starring Viva Bianca and Kirk Barker and tells the tale of a young handsome prince of Beaumount (Barker)who is forced to marry someone he doesn't love. Sick of not choosing who he wants to marry he travels to America where his car ends up dead out of a small town in the states. He bumps into a young woman named Emma(Bianca)and he calls himself David instead of Prince Duncan. So as "David" is waiting for a train ride he of course ends up spending some time with Emma and eventually the two fall in love. Of course their romance gets ruined by Emma's ex boyfriend Todd who is up to no good. So will Emma discover that "David" isn't who he says he is?Overall this was a decent Christmas movie. Is it the best film ever no but its still not that bad. As I was watching this film it reminds me so much of The Prince and Me. Both films have a prince from another country who are sick and tired of being treated royalty. They travel to America where they fall for American girls who want more in life, the prince and the commoner fall in love, they find out about the guy's identity. The list goes on.See it if you loved The Prince & Me and Coming To America.
This is a weak Ion remake of a 2013 Hallmark Christmas film. In this film Kelly Le Brock plays the Queen of a small European principality floored when her engaged to be married son and heir holidays in America to fall in love with a commoner. In the 2013 film it was Jane Seymour such a Queen floored for the same reason who aces her more substantial part in a better made movie. The 2015 remake has no palatial seeming settings and relatively few minutes outside Europe. It looks low budget though well acted and edited, its strongest virtues. With less visual sparkle and a less interesting storyline it is the more forgettable of the two. Holds your interest but not a great film.
