Don't Believe the Hype
There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
When I first heard about the title of the movie I was actually very excited to watch it but boy I was wrong.First of all work on the title because this movie shouldn't be called Batman VS. Robin because they don't even fight each at all in the movie. It was just mostly Damian being a stupid brat to his father in the movie and on top of that his voice actor doesn't help matters because he just annoying to the point where they should recast him.Same problem as with Son of Batman Nightwing was just week in this movie to the point where he couldn't hold his own against Damian. But other than that the voice acting was good but the story was just twisted.
Batman vs Robin is a really good film and it more than overshadows its previous installment with great action, one of the best modern story- lines of Batman and the voice casting of the Son of Batman. OK it may bothers me that they try to put in Damian Wayne in the story but whatever is well done and I am glad that it wasn't like Batgirl in the Killing Joke and be thankful for that because it would weird and creepy. As for the villains, the Court of Owls, are excellently ingrained to the mythology of Gotham and compare to them the Illuminati look ridiculous and childish.Yea what you are in war with the Catholic Church since the Middle Ages ? Are a threat for the greatest detective in the history of comics ? No, I didn't think so. As for secret societies go this has already become one of my favorites. As for the title Bruce and Damian animosity is build up and when it burst is really nice. Though it took long enough. What I do like to Damian is that he has already the skills to become Batman but he lacks the experience and control of his father. As for Nightwing ,despite his secondary role, he makes a great contrast with the new Robin for he like an older brother in the family. Any way this by far the best Batman films of the New 52 and I recommended to every Bat-fan out there. As for the final movie in the series I will write about it soon enough.
While Damian Wayne struggles to cope with Batman's no-killing rule, he soon starts to believe that his destiny lies within a secret society known as, The Court of Owls. Even tho the title Batman v.s Robin is kinda wrong since Bruce fights his son for just a while the real villain is The Court of Owls this film has a lot of action but also blood Batman gets stabbed more times than i can count he even gets inside a Batman Robotic suit and things go insane. Unlike the next sequel that came out this is actually a pretty nice sequel but also movie with a lot of action, suspense but also a very nice ending because after his father gets brutally stabbed and gets his ass whipped then Damian releases he was wrong? Seriously you think?
DC Comics and Warner Bros. Animation bring fans of the Dark Knight his latest adventure "Batman vs. Robin." Writer J. M. DeMatteis does an incredible job blending together Grant Morrison's "Batman & Robin: Batman vs. Robin" and Scott Snyder's "Batman: The Court of Owls" graphic novels into one action-packed thrill ride through the darkness of Gotham City. It doesn't hurt that the ever angry and charismatic Damien Wayne and his strained relationship with his father Bruce are parts of the main focus of the story. In "Batman vs. Robin," Damian Wayne has a hard time accepting his father's no-killing rule. He soon starts to believe his destiny lies within a secret society. The Son of Batman finds himself the target of a vigilante calling himself Talon. The mysterious man wants Damian to take his place as the lead assassin of the enigmatic Court of Owls.I loved the way filmmakers incorporated parts of "Damien: Son of Batman" into "Batman vs. Robin." There's a small "dream" (or "nightmare?") sequence where Batman finds himself face to face with a grown-up Damien who dresses in a new version of the cape and cowl. A touching showdown between the two ensues which addresses the Dark Knight's insecurities about the way he's raising his offspring."Batman vs. Robin" is rated PG-13 for intense action and violence, suggestive images and thematic elements. There are some instances where dark silhouettes cover up nude bodies in the context of insinuated adult situations. For all intents and purposes, think of "Batman vs. Robin" as having the same content as "The Dark Knight Rises," but as a cartoon. "Batman vs. Robin" is a worthy follow-up to "Son of Batman." I love the character of Damian Wayne and feel there's a lot more they could do with the character in further animated features. Might I suggest an animated adaptation of the "Damien: Son of Batman" graphic novel? The explosive relationship between Bruce and Damien is something that will not only find teens being able to associate with it, but fathers who struggle with their rebellious and independent-minded sons as well.
