Best movie of this year hands down!
Very best movie i ever watch
It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
'Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter (1984)' came with the opportunity to actually come up with some semblance of a plot, picking up with a seemingly dead serial-killer on the set of 'Part III', but instead just resurrects its villain and sticks him in the exact same story we've seen three times before. This time, it has the least connection to the canon and arguably the least competent screenplay, to boot. It's frustrating, too, because this had the potential to be something different. Being billed as the 'final chapter' gives it the perfect opportunity to subvert audience expectation and perhaps provide a more powerful ending that maybe even explains some of the unanswered questions from 'Friday's past. There are flashes of uniqueness in the form of a few characters who don't quite fit the preconceived stereotypes, but all of these slot into the same cut-and-paste formula from before and, as such, offer no relief from it. The fact that it's all so poorly done, even the violence which is more overt but now has an odd leer to it, just makes it an incredibly boring watch even when the long promised 'finale' finally happens just under halfway through the series. 3/10
I enjoy this alot more than the first and it's alot of fun! The death scenes are creative like always. You know the pros out weigh the cons like this is a must watch for FT13 fans. The story is great, the writting is flawless, the acting is convincing, good characters, and good pacing. Tommy Jarvis is the best character since Jason Voohress and his mother. The supense in this movie is great like you don't know who's gonna die or not. This is my reveiw on Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter (1984), it's the best out of the franchies!
Though not the final film or even close to it, this was the best of the Friday the 13th films so far, though that's a pretty low bar. What this film has going for it is some very gory special effects by Tom Savini, Jason wearing his mask the entire film, and some funny casting that includes Crispin Glover in a straight part (though he still manages to be weird), and a you Corey Feldman (before he got weird) playing a young boy fascinated by murder. Harry Manfredini again provides the score and Joseph Zito directed the film with more competence and suspense than any of the prior films, but as I've said before, that's not saying a lot for a pretty weak horror franchise. Also, a home video game version of Zaxxon makes an appearance in the film.
This movie is the fourth sequel to "Friday the 13th", one of the worst horror film franchises and one of the toughest to kill. Its simply another slasher movie thought for adolescents and carried out by them. Its definitely a movie that is not worth the time it took to watch it because it seems made by amateurs. I just regret that Jason never thought of visiting the studios where the movies about him were made ... maybe the visit would have prevented some disasters like this movie.
