The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
I had high hopes for this movie especially I read on the cover it was "based on true events" . It was awful the worst war movie I have seen since Where Eagles Dare. Man the Germans were terrible soldiers, Vinny Jones did not a gun to take out about 20 German Soldiers, about 20 American soldiers killed over 100 German soldiers and never ran out of Ammo --so far fetched . At the end of the movie I was expecting to read about the true events but not word about this movie based on "true events" .The acting is okay but the Company of Heroes is about realistic as Die Hard movies
I honestly can not believe this movie is ever released. Unbelievable plot...check (a group of American soldiers wandering in Germany during wartime), Neverending rifle magazines...check, İdiot German soldiers running to bullets...check and so on. I read the reviews before watching the movie, I (thought)was ready for all this stuff. Because I am a real fan of WWII history I said "I can stand for the sake of my historical curiocity,At least I will watch costumes and gears and stuff like that". I was wrong. Especially WWII fans should stay away from this movie. I even didn't mention the equipment inconsistencies and historical faults. So do yourselves a favor, stay away from this movie...
I found out at the end of this movie that it's based on a video which answers some questions, like why are the air scenes so cartoonish looking and is this based on a true story? Why is it so derivative? I was thinking, if this turned out to be fictional, I will be upset. Why make up something about ww2, when there are so many true juicy stories about it. Knowing it's a video game softened the blow, but it really is a cheaply made amateur movie with B list actors. It's the battle of the bulge and a team of soldiers are on a mission that will take them deep into Nazi territory to get something very important, that may tilt the outcome of the war. If you want a World War 2 movie,
This has got to be the worst WWII film ever. The Germans never started building an atomic bomb during the war. It was never contemplated. It was never started. Besides that, it was just corny. Someone mentioned it was funny. It wasn't funny. It wasn't meant to be funny. 'Top Secret' was a funny WWII film. It was written that way. This was just bad script writing done by someone who knew nothing about WWII except, maybe there was a Battle of the Bulge in 1944. I couldn't even finish watching this. I didn't care how it ended. I just wish an atomic bomb had blown up the writer and everyone who had anything to do with this movie.
