This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place
So much average
best movie i've ever seen.
It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.
Saw this without knowing much about it (except for above the line). Unlike many chick-flicks and romantic comedies that received praise when they should not, this one actually worked for me. It was not meant to be an earth-shattering experience, but as a dramedy, it worked - at least for me. Yes there were moments of overacting, and it seems that Ford is past his prime, and story peaks were a bit off, but snappy dialogue, good jokes and decent story make it all worthwhile. Even with its faults, I still recommend it. Rachel McAdams is absolutely wonderful here, even if her character needs a bit of massage, and so were most others. Again, there are many moments of brilliance and it is worth watching it just for that. You won't be sorry you saw it, unless your expectations are unrealistic.
Rachel McAdams is atrocious, ruining this movie by overacting ditziness and scattiness to an absurd degree. She squeaks and squawks and flings her arms around like some kind of demented windmill. You find yourself mystified as to why Diane Keaton and Harrison Ford chose to dignify MORNING GLORY with their presence; and hoping against hope that Harrison's character would just shoot the babbling idiot of a protagonist.
If you want to watch a feel-good film, this is it. I think people who have been underestimated in any part of their lives will be able to relate to the main character and would feel inspired by this film. It is funny, and the acting is great. Rachel McAdams was the perfect person for her role. Harrison Ford did such a great job. I've never seen him play a role like this, so it showed me that he really is a very good actor. Patrick Wilson is just eye-candy. The only problem I had was with Diane Keaton. I love her, but I did not think this was the right role for her. I can see that her character was supposed to be a mean person, but Diane wasn't really doing a good job in it. She ended up looking a little goofy. Nevertheless, there were a couple of scenes with her that were hilarious.
Morning Glory is an uplifting and refreshing glass half-full kind of movie, featuring a winning combination of contagious optimism from Rachel McAdams, and dry wit and cynicism from Harrison Ford. McAdams plays a convincing, conscientious executive producer of a morning TV show and her career driven passion encourages viewers to both work hard and strive to achieve their goals, while also suggesting that a healthy balance between work and relationships is essential for a fulfilling and rewarding life.Bottom line, this is an engaging and sweet movie with endearing characters, charming, stylistic direction, a soundtrack reminiscent of a hipster coffee house and is just a generally funny and lighthearted film that will probably make you say "awh!"
