After a plane crash, a young therapist, Claire, is assigned by her mentor to counsel the flight's five survivors. When they share their recollections of the incident -- which some say include an explosion that the airline claims never happened -- Claire is intrigued by Eric, the most secretive of the passengers.

Best movie of this year hands down!
A waste of 90 minutes of my life
Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
I saw this film this evening on tv. Not bad as the rating suggests, but I admit it is nothing extraordinary and the twist at the end is kinda ... unexpected in not so good way. Usually the twists that are hard to imagine a very good thing, but somehow in this film, it is too strached out ...So it turns out that she is dead, but she did not know she is dead all the time - how? Just how? Did I miss something? She meets a guy in the plane and they are a minute later - what? Long time lovers?Besides this obvious let downs - it is entertaining for Saturday night.8 from me - or 7,6
I just caught this on a premium TV channel and I had never heard of it. I would have paid money to see it in a theater if I had. I thought it was interesting in a "Sixth Sense" kind of way and well acted. Anne Hathaway and Patrick Wilson had excellent chemistry. I don't want to give anything away but it was the story of a plane crash and some of the people on board. The story was well told and kept you wondering till the end. It was sad but it ended well. I enjoyed this movie very much! Too bad it didn't get wider distribution.
Claire Summer is a psychologist, expert in helping people going through situations of mourning and serious accidents. However, when trying to help a group of survivors of a plane crash, she becomes involved in a web of mysteries that promises to change her life. Directed by Rodrigo García, it has a script by Ronnie Christensen and the participation of Anne Hathaway, Patrick Wilson and David Morse. This film is not a horror movie. Its a psychological mystery film that round around an unclear situation that can only be solved in the end. The characters are very mature and well developed psychologically, situations are quite interesting and the end is absolutely amazing. Its a film that easily appeals to the public, and that will only disappoint those looking for horror. The actors were very good, but the focus is mainly for Hathaway and Morse, two extraordinary artists who have made a huge performance in the film and gave their characters an absolutely convincing and believable drama. Hathaway shines in the scenes in which recalls the past of her character and rambles about the loneliness and isolation of a life devoted almost entirely to study and career. The photograph is very interesting, despite being a bit off and gray. The visual and sound effects work well and don't steal the scene to the story or actors. The soundtrack of Ed Shearmur isn't surprising but fulfills its role.Although this isn't a brilliant film or the masterpiece of any of those involved, this movie is very good. Its excellent for those who like a mysterious story, a bit far-fetched but really good and able to entertain well the public.
...but I was very affected by this film. It was inspired by another film, but I can't give you the name as it will spoil the movie for you. You'll know if you watch it.Anne Hathaway is Claire, a counselor who is assigned by her boss (Andre Braugher) to help survivors of a plane crash. One of the survivors, Eric, seems not to have been bothered at all, but he makes an appointment to see Claire privately. For the others, she sets up a group therapy session. We see Claire as a dedicated career woman with a nosy neighbor (Dianne Weist), and she seems to be on the outs with her sister, whom she is trying to reach. Eric proves to be problematic. Since the accident, he's become quite the daredevil and encouraging her to be the same way; he shows up at her apartment late at night; and she's falling for him.Less and less people show up to the therapy sessions, and Claire wonders about the man hovering outside during the sessions, who seems to be from the airline. She begins to suspect a conspiracy - he is too interested in peoples' accounts of the crash, which differ from the party line, and she thinks he may have something to do with the passengers disappearing. This is a slow film, but stay with it. It's quite powerful. Anne Hathaway gives a lovely performance as Claire, and Patrick Wilson is effective and likable as Eric, resembling a young Paul Newman.I admit I shed some tears. Don't listen to the twenty-something year-old guys who populate IMDb (unless you're one yourself; then by all means, listen to them). Just enjoy the movie.
