Arthur and the Invisibles
January. 12,2007 PGArthur is a spirited ten-year old whose parents are away looking for work, whose eccentric grandfather has been missing for several years, and who lives with his grandmother in a country house that, in two days, will be repossessed, torn down, and turned into a block of flats unless Arthur's grandfather returns to sign some papers and pay off the family debt. Arthur discovers that the key to success lies in his own descent into the land of the Minimoys, creatures no larger than a tooth, whom his grandfather helped relocate to their garden. Somewhere among them is hidden a pile of rubies, too. Can Arthur be of stout heart and save the day? Romance beckons as well, and a villain lurks.

The Worst Film Ever
Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
Watching it is like watching the spectacle of a class clown at their best: you laugh at their jokes, instigate their defiance, and "ooooh" when they get in trouble.
I loved this movie. The animation is very nice and the plot is interesting, fun, and cute. I'm glued to the TV screen every time I watch it even if I know what is going to happen. I think I have watched this movie like 100 time and I still want to watch it again even if I know all the lines. Great movie for kids, I know that I couldn't keep my eyes off the movie and I was like 13 when I saw it for the first time. All the actors do a great job. Also if you saw epic it does not even compare to this movie, this movie is a million times better. I personally put it right below avengers on my list of favorite movies. I hope you like this movie if you watch it! =^.^= Thanks!
The film, to start with- escaladed very quickly into the adventure sequence which is great because I love kids adventure flicks for that same reason. The only problem I find with the plot is the blatant "bar" scene with Rastafarians while the three main characters have a green spewing drink. Its completely okay in the film and the characters get intoxicated like its nothing- note that the main character who turns into a Minimoy is actually a twelve year old. Its terribly unsuitable for young children and I would never show the film to anyone under 15 because of it.Aside for that scene, and if you ignore how unrealistic and sexual the female lead's body is, its actually entertaining, unpredictable and kind of adorable.
It was a long time since I watched this movie in the theaters.Almost 4 years ago.It was one of the best movie choices I ever did.First of all,I have to say that this is a movie that everyone will enjoy. It's adventurous and fantastic, the worlds underneath a garden(and in a garden!)are magical and no one would ever imagine there could be such creatures in such a simple place!I think that this gives a hope to younger children that they could have Minimoys in their garden, like I did years ago. It's fantastic, the fights and the adventures that Arthur passes with his two fellows,Selenia and her brother Betameche!A magic journey, that you'd wish you could experience too!I suggest it with no worries,it's one of the best animated movies and it's the first movie of the sequel Arthur and The Minimoys! You better watch the next two ones afterwards to live a long, magic adventure!I did so and I definitely didn't regret it!(Also,I would like to advise you to ignore the details and the goofs, because it doesn't worth to aware of them, they are really unimportant to the plot of the movie and unfortunately a lot of people did here.)Ten stars out of 10 and it deserves it,because in case you didn't know,in 1999 Luc Besson and Patrice Garcia started to work on it and everything(the whole sequel)ended in 2010!Arthur and the Minimoys is a great movie!Watch it with your children, friends or on your own,but one thing is sure;you'll enjoy the adventure! :)
OK, I was reading on internet, and I finally understood the problem, the US and UK version were edited!!!!! more than edited, they were raped, seriously, there were 9 minutes of the movie that were deleted 9 minutes really important for the story.I'm Mexican and I had the chance to watch the original version, and I must say it's not my favorite children's movie but it has a lot of good points, so I'm expecting the sequels. Really, check the original version is way lot better.Changing topic (because this thing won't let me post until I complete ten lines and I've already said all that I wanted to say) the principal actor Freddie Highmore is really surprising me, I loved him on the Charlie's Chocolate Factory and he's been doing a great work since then, I think is just matter of time for this kid to make the big jump to the great leagues, I think he will surprise us on a maybe not so far future.
