Pretty Good
Great movie! If you want to be entertained and have a few good laughs, see this movie. The music is also very good,
When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
James McAvoy and Mark Strong plays the lead role in this Eran Creevy's Brit Action Flick. Synopsis 3 years ago,Max Lewinsky was severely injured during a combat with the notorious criminal James Sternwood and was waiting for a chance to take on James.. Now James has returned to find his son's killer who got killed in a gun fight. Max in pursuit of James and then teams up with him to find the real culprits I liked the movie coz of its fast paced narration and good action moments. The story's good but something was missing whole total in it. The lead actors were good in their roles. Bgm and camera-work was fine but not the best. You can try this if you are looking for a time pass action thriller. My rating 6.8 on 10
A criminal is on the run in London and one man wants revenge.Starring James McAvoy and Mark Strong.Written and directed by Eran Creevy. It's hardly a knock-out movie. You can't really fault the action sequences, they do exactly what they say on the tin and James McAvoy steals the show as a police detective in London with a chip on his shoulder the size of a Harley Davidson. But where this movie lost me was in the plot.I was confused 6 minutes in and I was confused an hour later and even when the so called plot was revealed in all it's glory, I was none the wiser. What is the point of any film when you don't have a bloody clue what is going on? The background music didn't help either. It was so loud I think the old woman who lives at the end of my row could have heard it. And she's deaf. Every movie needs light and shade and that's what this lacked. It was all action and not much character development or explanation.I'm giving it a 6 out of 10 just because James McAvoy was in it.
The story builds the characters' relationships and the connection between story details rather unbalanced and tends to be pretty fuzzy at the start. It doesn't even get any better after some time. It looks just like if the movie is depicting a few different character angles then puts them together at some time after the midway point. The later on revelations sure does explains it all. But I don't really think it clears the flaw created by the gaping hole in between story elements. The good things is that the movie offers quite nice action sequences having James McAvoy and Mark Strong being pitted against each other and then fighting together. The bad things about the action is that there's no daylight action, all of them are done at night, which doesn't give any color to the action as a whole. The acting is quite nice in overall. James McAvoy acted his parts well with great expressions. Mark Strong is really the great choice for the anti-hero character.
A persistent policeman. A top criminal. Again slipped through the net. Corruption at the police department and on a political level. A political game for a top job. The policeman and the criminal go hand in hand against corruption. Good cop lets the top criminal escape. That's it in a nutshell. Again a police thriller with the standard routine and nothing earth-shattering. The opening scene was quite interesting in terms of visualization. But it felt as if it was going to be something futuristic with those big glassy buildings and deserted streets.Strong was very impressive in his role as the fierce intellectual top criminal. He almost has a facial expression like Statham. I also liked the interaction and dialogues between Max and Sarah : refreshing and humorous.Daniel Mays also knows how to pick his parts because just like in "The Bank Job" (I've recently watched that one too) he kicks the bucket here too. But in general it was only a weak movie and a thin story. And one thing that annoys me the most is the amount of ammunition fired and the amount of misses.
