Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.

First time I saw this I thought it was awful, cringeworthy by all accounts. However, my son has seen this now about 25 times and he loves the bits in between. He especially loves the monkey music. "Daisy" engages the kids into feeling part of the 'film' and I bet most kids love it :)

This is essentially a few new Peppa episodes shown in a row that are not connected and have no running theme, as you might expect. I can only assume this was to try to keep young kids attention rather than producing a full length film or longer episodes with interesting content. The truly awful filler scenes between each episode with "Daisy" and budget Peppa and George puppets are completely lacklustre and cringe-worthy. Again there is no running theme, nothing new to add or things to learn, no jokes for the kids or adults (Daddy Pig banter even). My child was bored and started doing something else. Thank god we didn't go to the cinema and see it!

I've used IMDb for over a decade, and I've never felt the need to register, leave a comment, review or contribute in any form. Until now.I took my three year old to go and see Peppa Pig: My First Cinema Experience, and while she mildly enjoyed it, I really, really didn't. The idea of paying nearly £17 for an adult and child to sit through a few Peppa Pig episodes, interspersed with absolutely awful, lazy live action skits should turn your stomach. The puppets for Peppa and George are lacklustre, and while the presenter tries, her baby voice grates within minutes. There's very little appeal to these live action segments, and beyond asking the audience members to "join in" there's really no form of "interaction" nor games to speak of (despite what promotional material will lead you to believe)I would honestly wait until these episodes come out on a DVD, as while they're good - sitting through the awful live action segments to get to them just isn't worth it.

As young kids cartoons go I don't mind Peppa Pig and often find it mildly amusing. I was happy enough to take my kids thinking the rating floor would be about a 5/10 and if the new material is good it could be even better. I was immediately disappointed upon seeing the really lame chit chat between a grown up putting on a child's voice and a puppet/doll of Peppa and George. It came across as filler in an attempt to pad out the time and make a series of short cartoons into a cinema experience. This was so boring I fell asleep a couple of times, paying attention only for the cartoons. In the end I regretted going and put it down as a couple of hours of my life wasted!
