This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

When a movie is good, I have the desire to praise and recommend it, when it's bad I have the need to criticize it, and those really desperate inspire me to make fun of them. "Punisher: War Zone" does not belong to any of these groups. To me, this is the worst kind of movie, because you can not either love it or hate it. It leaves you totally indifferent because it's drowning in a boring mediocrity. This film does not bring absolutely nothing but the nearly two hours of continuous gunfire, and even that is not on a particular level. Neither is tense, nor is it exciting, nor does it have interesting choreography and directing. Absolutely nothing noteworthy. Unprovoked, completely pointless and redundant film. In comparison with its 2004 predecessor, this is a complete failure.5/10

The Punisher: War Zone (2008): Dir: Lexi Alexander / Cast: Ray Stevenson, Dominic West, Julie Benz, Doug Hutchison, Wayne Knight: Every bit as stupid as the 2004 version only this time Ray Stevenson plays Frank Castle who dishes out justice upon those whom get away. When he accidentally kills an undercover FBI agent he is overcome with guilt. Directed by Lexi Alexander with a screenplay that is constant bang, boom, pow, ka-boom! It was either an easy shoot for Alexander or too many lazy days bored on set hoping the the next project wasn't this bad. Either way this is absolute junk at its most depraved. Stevenson as Castle basically beats the tar out of people or blows their faces off with guns. This is not a hero to be applauded. Others who were talked into this mess are Dominic West, Julie Benz and Doug Hutchison. They have all done better work in better films but this is certainly one of their lowest points. Why this film was made is not known. The other film was hardly a box office success so it is hardly likely that another film was in high demand. In fact, there is no demand for this piece of crap period. The production values are mediocre at best. I've seen commercials selling action figures that had more suspense presented than what is in this pointless sh*t. Poorly made farce that should be placed alongside the other version for target practice. Score: 1 / 10

This movie is very entertaining, and if you aren't a comic book fan boy, you will love this movie. But, if you don't like movies that are so bad they hilarious and very entertaining, you will hate this film. It is definitely not a movie that everyone will like, but it is very entertaining. The special effects are hilarious and over the top, and so is the acting. The dialog is very cheesy and hilarious, and again, very over the top. It is like "The Room" of action movies, but trust me, this movie is WAAAAAAY more entertaining the room, and it is WAAAAAY funnier than the room. This movie knows it dumb, and it doesn't take itself seriously. It's just a great movie to watch with friends, and I guarantee you will laugh at this movie. This is probably the best so bad its hilarious movie I've ever seen (its better than Samurai Cop!) Now, I gave this 10/10, and most people believe that this means that Punisher: War Zone is one of my favorite movies of all time. It's not. I give it a 10/10 because its one of the most entertaining movies I've ever seen, and it does everything it aims to do perfectly.
