Absolutely Fantastic
Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.
It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Blistering performances.
Joke of a man... get back to rating starsigns! 20 out of a hundred! I'm guessing Lucas nailed your wife
Not only was The Goonies a brilliantly written, directed, and acted movie, but it was also so much FUN! The adventures of these kids through the underground world, while being chased by the despicable villains known as the Fratellis, are fascinating to watch-movies.ga . The Goonies is a great cinematic experience. It has everything that anyone who was ever a kid could ever want. Even the elaborate sets are very convincing.
This film still holds up after all these years.A group of misfit kids set out to find a pirate's buried treasure in order to save their homes from being turned into a golf course. What follows is like an Indiana Jones adventure for tween boys. To make matters worse they are being pursued by the criminal Fratelli family who also want the treasure. What will happen? Will the kids survive, find the treasure or meet their end at the hands of the Fratellis? This movie does not disappoint. Nostalgia for those that have seen it before. Fantastic Fun. Worth repeated viewings!
In order to save their home from foreclosure, a group of misfits set out to find a pirate's ancient valuable treasure. The Goonies is a 1985 American adventure comedy film directed by Richard Donner and stars Sean Astin, Josh Brolin, Jeff Cohen, Robert Davi, Joe Pantoliano and Corey Feldman. What i loved the most about the Goonies except the great storyline about adventure it was the teamwork and the friendship between the main characters for example the friendship between Chunk and Sloth feels so realistic and at times it's even heartbreaking plus Sloth has a fantastic scene where he goes up against his 2 brothers and he rips his shirt off and we see him wearing a Superman Theme and suddenly the iconic Christoper Reeve Theme starts playing in the background. Brand (Brolin) is kinda the typical older brother jackass but as the movie keeps going you are invested more and more on him and the performances by all the kids and even the villains are excellent but i think that Chunk is the one who steals the show the most he is funny and just a lovable character as a whole. Plus Steven Spielberg wrote the story for the movie as well so the whole adventure thing is his own idea for the most part i believe because i get a lot of Indiana Jones vibes threw out the whole movie. The movie also received mixed reviews from critics and many of them complained that the movie was alright for kids but for adults it might be hard to follow but honestly i can't see that the movie might have kids starring but that doesn't mean that is terrible or something. Also for many years there have been a lot of rumors about a Sequel and although i'm not against of that it won't have the same magic as the original had. (A+)
