So much average
This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.
The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies
This was your average chick-flick, nothing remarkable but ultimately not boring either. Its described as a "sexy romantic comedy" and its moderately entertaining with a few funny moments and likable characters in Catherine Zeta-Jones and Justin Bartha who provide a somewhat intriguing romance with the whole older woman-younger guy hook.I did want to see how this was going to play out, if and how our couple would get together in the end. I thought the choice the writers came up with was realistic except for the "son" angle. The story follows Zeta-Jones as a 40 something woman who moves to New York City with her two children after discovering her husbands affair. After several disastrous attempts at dating 'Sandy' realizes that she has developed feelings for the 25 year old former barista she befriended and hired as a nanny. Can they overlook the generation gap and forge a lasting bond or do they both have some growing up to do? 9/7/15
I found a treatment in Rebound very not professional and extremely!!!!!!!!!!!! expensive. Half-hour of not professional massage with constant chatting was cost me $350.00. Please go anywhere else, just not to Rebound. I found a treatment in Rebound very not professional and extremely!!!!!!!!!!!! expensive. So I just spotted this on TV last night and I wanted to watch it because of two things: One I like Catherine Zeta Jones,i've seen her in a few movies from Entrapment,to The Mask Of Zorro, heck she even voiced Marina in Sinbad Legend Of The Seven Seas, and the second reason is that I like romantic movies. So what's this film about well its about a 40 something year old named Sandy(Zeta Jones)who's husband cheated on her with a younger woman(well let's say she was young cause I never seen her face as she was hiding in the kitchen making out with her hubby)and Sandy decides that enough is enough and moves out of her home with her two kids, and they decide to live in an apartment. As Sandy is looking for work and she has nobody to help her mind her kids, she meets a cute guy in his late 20s (played by Justin Barhta whom you may know from movies such as National Treasure and The Hangover as Bradley Cooper's buddy),who helps mind her kids for her,but problems arise when he starts to fall for her and she grows fonder of him too,but with a BIG GAP between them will they ever fall in love??Similar to that 2005 movie Prime with Uma Thurman and Meryl Streep where Thurman was Zeta Jones charcther,The Rebound is not your average romantic comedy,in fact parts of it were kinda flat and pointless, especially that terrible ending which had a what is gonna happen between them now kinda scenario attached to it.But if you are like me never seen it before then check it out. Overall I'm giving it a 4 out of 10.
I was just browsing through Netflix looking for something to watch, stumbled upon Rebound, and decided to check it out. For the first twenty minutes or so, I wasn't sure where it was going, what to expect or what kind of story it was going to be. Actually I didn't expect it to be much, but WOW I was not expecting it to be the gem of a movie turned out to be! The setup seemed a little undeveloped, and there were a couple parts here and there that I thought were a little ambiguous as to what they were supposed to be to the story; but what soon emerged was a really, REALLY touching love story about two people who formed an unlikely couple and who by all outward appearances should not have been together romantically; but you WANTED them to be together. "Sandy" (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and "Aram" (Justin Bartha) were so cute as a couple and played so extraordinarily well opposite one another that I was so drawn into the story that I couldn't wait to see how it was going to turn out. When they broke up, I was heartbroken and misty-eyed. The story then follows each of them on their post-split endeavors and they bump into one another what turns out to be five years later, and get back together again. Then I couldn't stop smiling from ear to ear and got misty-eyed again! This film touched a few places for me and while not perfect in places, was quite an unexpectedly touching story that turned out to be a rare gem of a movie. Deftly navigating through the emotional ups and downs of a serious relationship and of career/family/life events, it's a commentary on life & love, finding one's path in life, and of finding love where you least expect it. I definitely recommend!
