For all the hype it got I was expecting a lot more!
Fantastic!
An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
My favorite movie ever.. Everytime I see this movie I just love it.
I'll start with the good things. You know what kind of things to expect from a movie like this, an easy-to-watch, entertaining movie with a couple of moving plot points and a happy ending. That was what I expected, and I think most of us also, and that's what we received. Up there, positive points for this movie. The bad thing is that the performances leave much to be desired. The one of Jackman does not arrive to him nor to the ankles to the simple Rocky de Stallone and the one of the boy is, then, a boredom by where it is watched. Finally, I feel that the child / Atom relationship could be much more powerful. Anyway, for these reasons, I do not think this movie deserves more than a five.
behind any verdict, it is a smart film. surprising fact for a successful film of our time. but one of the precious good points for a dramatic, touching and sensitive story about a delicate theme. the action scenes are present and real impressive. but the story and, sure, the acting ,are more significant. and this detail transforms "Real Steel" în a good opportunity to admire the return to the old fashion recipes of making movies.
ROCKY similar story only one big different robots and little things in story line. but its really enjoyable movie to watch really good CGI and good effects but i think its not a lot. yea its cool to watch fighting robots with really good effects but nope. if you like story you must watch ROCKY and not real steel but if you are watching for enjoy its really good movie to waste time. 10/4 - meCharlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman) used to be a prizefighter but lost his chance to win a title when heavy, towering robots took over the boxing ring. Now working as a small-time promoter, Charlie pieces together scrap metal into low-end fighters, barely earning enough to make it from one underground venue to the next. After hitting rock bottom, Charlie reluctantly teams with his estranged son, Max (Dakota Goyo), to build and train a championship robot for a last shot at redemption.and now rocky review.Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), a small-time boxer from working- class Philadelphia, is arbitrarily chosen to take on the reigning world heavyweight champion, Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), when the undefeated fighter's scheduled opponent is injured. While training with feisty former bantamweight contender Mickey Goldmill (Burgess Meredith), Rocky tentatively begins a relationship with Adrian (Talia Shire), the wallflower sister of his meat-packer pal Paulie (Burt Young).that's mini review of film but this two movies have similar ending.
