Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

(Originally see a few years ago) I hate the first film, but this one I hate even more, it has a nastier streak about it, with some really unnecessary violence that serves no purpose, only to promote suffering, among the disgusting things that happen for show include a person getting their throat cut open for no reason, which felt sadistic, a person getting tortured till they snap his neck in slow motion within a leg lock and a spoilt, repulsive teenager kicking his mom's tanning bed, killing her because he did not get what he wanted. This film is sickening, it's like Wolf Creek and The Hitcher, all of these films promote torture, suffering, and vile, repulsive moments to earn a profit and I hate them, these are some of the worst films ever made but unlike trash, they are bitter to there core, they didn't try to be dumb, they tried to be nasty and I loathe everyone of these pathetic exercises in torture and sadism. Kick-Ass 2 is also terribly acted with some detestable character's too, where you would hope a nuclear bomb wiped everyone out on screen, among other things is it's use of language, it's unnecessary and promotes a young girl swearing, saying look this is cool, she can kill people to, watch her stab this guy, or cut this guy's arm off. Kick-Ass 2 you are a piece of s**t and the people who made this lack humanity, intelligence and compassion; I hate this film with a passion. 0/10

I remember when this movie came out, I loved it so much. I like these movies because there's no way things would go well for anyone who decided to just become a superhero. These movies are violent, brutal and emotionally so rough. But now that I've seen this movie too many times, I notice how tacky the screen writing is. Especially during those scenes where Mindy clashes with the popular high school girls. Girls can be mean, but you wouldn't know that listening to these girls talk. Still fight scenes are fun, character designs are amazing, and there's something in Kick-Ass movies that just couldn't be done in typical DC or Marvel movies, some kind of irony that could never work in Avengers. Of course Deadpool comes close, but Deadpool's not a typical Marvel movie, is it?

Not sure why so many people are giving this film 1 star reviews. There are films that I can't even watch 5 minutes of because they're so poorly produced or the acting is so terrible that it deserves 1 star. This movie is not one of them. I get people's take on the violence etc. but the film is rated R and it's based on a comic people! for frak's sake! Good soundtrack, great acting, and a very believable and relatable to our world if there were heroes or villains. I love Marvel and the X-Men films (for the most part) but if you believe that someone getting a sword shoved through them wouldn't make them bleed profusely then you're just an idiot. The kick-ass franchise is actually realistic in the sense that it SHOWS BLOOD. If you don't like it go watch X-Men First Class ... (not ragging on first class ...just saying...no blood...the hell??)
