Professor Phillip Goodman devotes his life to exposing phony psychics and fraudulent supernatural shenanigans. His skepticism soon gets put to the test when he receives news of three chilling and inexplicable cases -- disturbing visions in an abandoned asylum, a car accident deep in the woods and the spirit of an unborn child. Even scarier -- each of the macabre stories seems to have a sinister connection to the professor's own life.

Very best movie i ever watch
Best movie ever!
In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.
Spoilers ahead but quick review. First hour was good eerie and unknown to how and what was going to happen. Martin Freeman committing suicide was a highlight didn't see it coming until about 5 seconds before he did it. That was the peak to the film as I thought as it went on I was disappointed with the outcome. Good twist even though it had the opportunity to keep you gripped and scared until the end of the film. Had the feel of John carpenter's in the mouth of madness although leaving the theatre after watching that made you feel uncomftable and a bit freaked out, and this just bit disappointed
Greetings from Lithuania."Ghost Stories" (2017) felt very flat the more it moved to the end. While this isn't a bad movie by any means, any chances on calling this not bad horror movie vanished the more this movie moved to the ending which was just sill and pretentious and total nonsense. There were some spooky moments in this movie here and there, but like i said, the ending was just nonsense giving the overall experience a very disappointing taste. Overall, "Ghost Stories" (2017) is just a very meeehhh... horror flick. Its not particularly scary but its nicely paced, but the ending just felt flat. A disappointing movie overall.
Reading the IMDb User Rating and a couple of reviews in IMDb, the unwary viewer will probably have great expectations with "Ghost Stories". The promising beginning with three scary segments will certainly make him think that made a good choice. Unfortunately there is an incoherent and disappointing conclusion of the lead story, destroying the good segments, and the directors and writers Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman show that they are absolutely lost. Are these good reviews real or fake to promote this terrible flick? My vote is four.Title (Brazil): Not Applicable
Clever, but not overly clever. Not so clever that you want to punch the writer(s) in the face. I was very surprised and satisfied with the ending of the film, and thoroughly enjoyed the path the storytellers took the viewers on to reach the conclusion. I watched it multiple times after renting in order to locate the delicious little hints that pointed to what was actually going on in the film. My first viewing was obviously the most satisfying: sitting alone in my lil' house in the woods, late at night, with all the lights off. The silence and darkness of my surroundings definitely added to the overall experience. I also really enjoyed the subsequent viewings, which helped me understand reasons behind certain shots, bits of dialogue, etc. And it was still scary the second and third times around! I thought each paranormal case presented in the film was uniquely frightening. The filmmakers made effective use out of many different types of scares. It isn't overly gory, which I appreciate because I am not really into blood and guts. There was a lot of suspense and eerie sounds, which I love. And some spooky critters, which I also love. The lighting (or darkness, I guess) in the first scenario was really unsettling. And then...the soul horror. Lawd have mercy. Thought Martin Freeman stole the show, but then he usually does. Really enjoyed the 3 or so minutes with Kobna Holdbrook-Smith as the priest. His dialogue was beautifully written and performed. Alex Lawther is always creepy. He could do a sweet-as-sugar romcom with Emma Watson and he would still freak me out. Love the cover art/film poster/whatever you call it as well. All in all, I found it really enjoyable. Classically spooky with modern twists. Good times.
