The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

Carlotta, a former wild girl and drug user who attempted suicide, thinks she's beyond all that now by going for the "traditional" lifestyle. She is going to marry Vince, an older man with a used car business. On the eve of her wedding, Vince's son shows up and makes a big pass at Carlotta. Too bad she can't resist. Vince gets angry, imagine that, and starts shooting off a gun. Carlotta, Frankie and another friend steal an impala and set off down the road. Meanwhile, Carlotta's priest-brother in Mexico has been alerted that she is heading his way. What has happened to Carlotta's plans for the quiet life by the road?Admittedly, this viewer did not finish the film. Anyone who wants to write the definitive review for the movie, please do so. There is enough unsavory sex, violence and just gosh-awful scripting to predict the film's status as a bomb, even without seeing the last frame. Jennifer Barker, the star, is utterly beautiful, however, so perhaps there is a male audience somewhere that would appreciate the sight of her, no matter what the situation. Naw. If you have half a brain, just go get some pina coladas and watch an Ed Wood movie instead. You will be better entertained.
