If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

The obvious, of course: most of the acting is bad and the special effects are horrendous. Tessa's mouth moves so oddly, I almost couldn't make it past the first 2 minutes. It was extremely distracting and she actually looks deformed at times. When flying the C-130, Tessa is not wearing a bra and her shirt is soaking wet, making it see-through. Oddly, when her and Lynn get to the ground she is suddenly wearing a bra. On day 23, while attempting to fix the sails several of the Ark's occupants go outside and it is a bright, clear, breezy day with no rain. 30 seconds later when panning to the outside of the Ark, the clouds are rolling, the sails are flapping in the gusty winds, and it is raining heavily. Although there is no land and everything is underwater, the waves are shown crashing onto a beach. Having said all of that, it certainly isn't the worst movie I have ever seen. That would be Age of Ice.

I'm not sure what possessed me to rent this movie - maybe the delightfully flaky Ms Keena; maybe a reaction against 2012; maybe I thought it was another film... anyway a flood of biblical (and physics-defying) proportions threatens the entire world so the American Navy builds several arks to save humanity and all the creatures that we've subjugated.Least favourite moments : pseudo-science explanation of how two turbines the size of Harley Davidsons can power and steer a million tonne ark; people survive getting hit by a hundred foot king wave then tread water like they're in a pool; the scene with the survivalists that kept switching to its mirror image.Favourite moments: When the Admiral says (to Ms Keena's sodden Doctor character) "get out of those wet clothes!"; when the captain asks "did the Admiral make it on board?" five days after they cast off! Hmm... that's it.See it if you like: mockbusters!

Probably the worst movie I have ever seen. I cannot decide if it is so bad it becomes funny (like Plan 9 from Outer Space) or just plain boring bad, perhaps so bad it becomes interesting; how did they accomplish? It looks like everyone know this is going to be really really really horribly wrong, so they don't even bother to try.CGI is used for everything and it looks like something from an average PC game. And when this bad CGI is not used for something "dangerous", then we see some bored faces looking like they don't know what the hell is going on, whether they should look frightened or bored, camera panning back and forth, and then afterwards the other will tell you what just happened, like "oh, he just died" or "oh, she nearly died" (everything with the same lame "but we couldn't care less" expression).Oh my god.

I was looking through my friend's movie collection and I thought that I had chosen 40 Days and 40 Nights, not 40 Days and Nights. The only reason I watched this as long as I did was because I was convinced this had to be an overly exaggerated dream sequence the characters were having, then when THAT didn't appear to be the case, I thought that maybe at some point the camera would pan away and reveal that this was all on a movie set and one of the real characters was a movie director or an actor or something and then the actual movie would start. Once I figured out that wasn't the case either, I googled 40 days to see if there were any similar titles, and lo and behold, I found this. Now I'm just watching out of morbid curiosity.
